	Benefits: Local emergency ambulance transports to the hospitals in AMED's service area. No out of pocket expenses for services such as oxygen, cardiac monitor, I.V., and/or medication. In Comparison, non-members must pay full charge for: • service fees on every emergency call • charges for oxygen, advanced life support, cardiac monitor, and other services • services charge when an ambulance is called and no transport is necessary • total charges including base rate fee plus mileage costs. Each ambulance run can cost over $350 to more than $700 plus mileage. In up-front dollars and cents, the distinct advantage to AMED membership becomes obvious.
